Herman Alfred "Pistol" Bell age 72 passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his Glenpool residence surrounded by his loving family members.
Pistol was born December 4, 1942 in Boonville, Arkansas to Lacy L. Bell and Geneva (Moore) Bell. He graduated from Glenpool High School with the Class of 1962. Pistol married Wanda Gibson in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He worked in the oil and gas industry as a pipe liner for twenty-eight years before retiring in 2003. Pistol will be remembered for his active participation in being the founding member of Glenpool Fire Department and being a firefighter with Jenks Fire Department. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Glenpool. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of fishing and a loving "Papa" to his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy and Geneva Bell, and his son, Michael.
Pistol is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Lou Bell of Glenpool, his son, Kevin Bell of Catoosa, his daughter, Jennifer Hanes and her husband, Roger of Glenpool, his son E.T. Gibson of Kiefer, his loving grandchildren, along with other family members, many friends and acquaintances.
Service is 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at First Baptist Church-Glenpool, Main Street and Broadway.
