Herman Eugene Jenkins

Herman Eugene Jenkins, 78, of Mounds, OK, passed away Monday evening, November 28, 2016 while in the company of family members at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Herman was born in Ada, Oklahoma on August 22, 1938, the 14th of 16 children of the late Elizabeth Admonis (Ingram) and James Roy Jenkins.
He married Jill Mary (Ward) Jenkins, on August 13, 1966 in England.
He was a very active member of Mounds United Methodist Church for over forty years. He worked for many years as a Piano Tuner/Technician and during the late 60's tuned for clients such as Marjorie Main, Agnes Moorehead, Michel Legrand, Mary Costa, Robert Mitchum, Carol Burnett, Barbara Streisand and Julie Andrews. Herman was very passionate about gardening, growing all different types of flowers, especially his beloved daffodils, iris and day lilies. He even bred some of his own daffodil and day lily varieties. He was always happy to walk people around and show them his different flowers.
Herman is survived by his family, wife Jill Mary (Ward) Jenkins; daughter Stacy Jenkins Shore; Son Travis, wife Cynthia Jenkins; Sister, Sheila, husband Bill Austin
Sister Shirley, husband James Martin; Brother Hollis, wife Eileen Jenkins
Sister, Patricia Body, Sister Judy Young; granddaughters, Emma, Megan, Gillian; grandson, Ian; and many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Friday December 2, 2016 at Mounds United Methodist Church, Mounds, OK.
