Herman Dale Jones

Herman "Dale" Jones, Catoosa resident, 78, died Sunday morning July 22, 2018, with family by his side. He was born on March 1, 1940 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to his parents, Johnie and Rose (Taylor) Jones.

He met the love of his life, Lavina Foote, and they were married on March 30, 1956 in Claremore, OK. He worked as a crew chief and welder for American Airlines. Dale was an avid fisherman, who loved bass fishing. Enjoyed going to Lake Tenkiller to his lake house to spend time with his family and fish. Dale was a member of the TWU #514. He was the President of AA Bass Club, as well as the Tulsa Bass Club. Dale was also a 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed watching the OKC Thunder, Dallas Cowboys, and OU Football. When he was younger, he coached his son's baseball teams.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnie Jones and Rose Jones, and his daughter, Lavina Barrett, and brother, Harman Jones.

He leaves many loving memories with his family, his loving wife of over 62 years, Lavina, daughter, Diana Kozicki and husband Ron, son, Dale Jones and wife Carol, daughter Gayle Sanders, brother, Johnie Jones and wife Melissa, sister, Sharon Hollowell and husband, David, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
