Henry Dean Lack

December 12, 1931 — June 3, 2017

Henry Dean Lack, 85, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his family by his side. He was born December 12, 1931 in Big Flat, Arkansas to John Estel and Leona Mae (Henry) Lack. As a young boy, he moved to Oklahoma in 1936. He grew up in Okemah, Oklahoma and graduated from Bearden High School in 1950. While at Bearden, he met the love of his life, Winnie Lee Parker. The two were married on March 24, 1951, three days before he left the states to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a proud veteran of the 45th Infantry Division from March 1951 through June 1952.
Upon his return to the States in 1952, Henry and Winnie moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. He immediately began working for Sunray DX Refinery, later, retiring from Sun Oil Company in December of 1987. He always loved baseball and was given the opportunity to play for the Saint Louis Browns farm club, but was called to the 45th Infantry Division. He fulfilled his loved for the sport by coaching little league for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, cutting and selling wood with a best friend, and hunting and fishing. In his later years, he enjoyed cooking, especially pecan pies. He was an avid member of the Glenpool Church of Christ. He truly was loved by his family and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Estel and Leona Mae (Henry) Lack; brothers, John Ralph, Charles Jennings, and Kenneth Clay; sisters, Helen Avis Smith and Elizabeth Jane McCurdy.
Survivors include his wife, Winnie Lee Lack of their home; children, Teri Lynn Eaton and husband, Jumbo of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Jeff Lack and wife, Dana of Kingwood, Texas, and Scott Lack and wife, Tami of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Betty Danenhour of Okemah, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Aaron Blake Eaton and wife, Michelle, Allison Jackson and husband, Jesse, Jennifer Dunn and husband, Roy, and Joel Lack and wife, Kirsten; step-grandchildren, Dallas Lang and Derek Lang; great grandchildren, Trenton Blake Eaton, Shelbi Isam, Tripp Jackson, Cal Jackson, Rebecca Dunn, Ryan Dunn, Faith Eaton, Kami Lack, and Will Lack; step-great grandchildren, Noah Grimmet, Ethan Grimmet and Tyson Grimmet; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00am at Glenpool Church of Christ, 12932 S. Elwood Ave, Glenpool, OK 74033 with private interment at in Okemah, Oklahoma.
