Helen Marie Harvey

A funeral service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Helen Marie (Ward) Harvey on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 2PM at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service. Helen passed away Friday, February 23, 2018. She was 85.

Helen was born on April 26, 1932 in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma to Flossie (Evans) Ward and William Ward.

She attended Liberty High School.

On January 20, 1980, Helen married Fred Harvey in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Oklahoma State University Technical School until she retired.

Helen loved spending her time by the lake and in her garden tending to her flowers and vegetables. She was a very talented at crocheting and loved making blankets for others. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family.

Helen was a member of the Indian Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harvey; sons, Monte Tiger and Kevin Tiger; daughter, Andrea Tiger; parents, Flossie (Evans) Ward and William Ward; sister, Wilma Turner; and brother, Roy Ward.

Survivors include son, Bryan Tiger and daughter-in-law, Virginia Tiger; step-son, Curtis Harvey; step-daughter, Maelea Whipple; and brothers, Arliss Ward, Dub Ward, and Ray Ward. She also leaves five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and ten step-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 12 to 2 PM at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service.
