Helen Lanore Ellig, a resident of Henryetta, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born Sunday, January 21, 1917 to M.A. Hardin and Elizabeth (Williams) Hardin in Bryant, Oklahoma. On January 4, 1933, she married James Henry Ellig in Okemah, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.A. and Elizabeth Hardin; husband, James Henry Ellig; three children, Faye Wood, George Ellig and Marcus Ellig; five grandchildren; one sister, and three brothers. Survivors include her seven daughters, Joan Toth of Wetumka, OK, Wanda and Roy Nolen of Ada, OK, Rose and H.A. Wilson of Port Orchard, WA, Clara Kuykendall of Wichita Falls, TX, Debbie and Leon Reynolds of Henryetta, OK, Delana Moore of McAlester, OK and Martina and Arch French of Tahlequah, OK; two sons, James and Joyce Ellig of Broken Arrow, OK and Gary and Rhonda Ellig of Weleetka, OK; one brother, Clyde and Mary Hardin of Vallejo, CA; twenty-six grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka with Reverend Ernest Harrison, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Her Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
