Hazel Marie Sherwood

Hazel Marie Sherwood age 95 passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hazel was born in Manhattan, Kansas on February 1, 1916 to Charles A. Scott and Perley B.( Jewett) Scott. Hazel graduated from Manhattan High School and the Kansas State College with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Home Economics. She worked as a teacher for various private schools in Kansas for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed volunteer work, spending time with her family, and arts and crafts Hazel was preceded in death by her parents: Charles A. Scott and Perley B.Scott and her three sisters. She is survived by her son: Charles Sherwood of Tulsa; her brother: Thomas Sherwood of Overbrook, Kansas; and one loving grandchild, along with other family members and friends.
