Hattie Viola Nichols

Hattie Viola Nichols, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at her residence in Bixby, Oklahoma, at the age of 81.
Viola was born in Branson, Missouri, on March 29, 1936, to the late Hattie Jane (Chase) Mitchell and George Oliver Mitchell. She completed high school and attended some nursing courses, but her real calling was to be a homemaker to her husband Theodore Wilson Nichols and their five children. Viola and Theodore married on September 4, 1955, in Springfield, Missouri. They had a very loving marriage and were married almost 42 years, until Theodore's passing on March 25, 1998. After her children were grown, Viola turned passion for quilting into a business and worked there, until retiring in 2000. Her other hobbies included volunteering for the Hollister School system, crocheting, reading, taking care of her beloved cats and dogs, watching and working her flower and vegetable garden, and attending the First Baptist Church in Hollister, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Theodore Nichols, parents; Hattie and George Mitchell, daughter; Karen Nichols, brother; Roy Mitchell.

Viola is survived by her children; Deborah Doyle and her husband Michael, Teresa Tharp and her husband Billie, Allen Nichols and his wife Ginger, Darin Nichols and his wife Sherry, grandchildren; Michele Autry and her husband Kory, George Clark and his wife Katrina, Jeremy Clark and his wife Jaimie, Carlissa Clark, Victoria Foster and her husband Robert, Alexandria Bowering and her husband Ryan, Aana Nichols, William Nichols, great-grandchildren; Braden and Paige Autry, Natalie, Amber, and Cynthia Clark, Cali and Dakota Clark, brothers; Don and Howard Mitchell, along with other family and caring friends.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Pastor Will Griswold will officiate.
