Harriet Jean Thoen

Harriet Jean Thoen age 88 passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Harriet was born April 17, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry and Anne (Schroeder) Taylor. She married Don R. Thoen on March 13, 1944. She was a homemaker.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Anne Taylor along with her loving husband, Don R. Thoen (1981). She is survived by her children: Cathie Tierney, Bonnee Reay and her husband, Tim, Greg Thoen and his wife, Kim, Julie Kiesner and her husband, Phillip, her sisters: Bette Maloney and Mary Lou Gaudino, her twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, several cousins, great nieces and nephews along with other family members and friends.

Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. until service time at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1114 22nd Avenue, NE, Minneapolis, MN. Pastor Tim Reay will officiate. Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
