Harold Stephen Bishop passed away September 19, 2021 with his wife and children by his side.
His Lordship Harold Stephen Bishop was born November 24, 1948 to Harold R. and Letha Bishop of Andover, Kansas.
A loving and supportive husband and father: Harold resided in Catoosa with his wife Dawn of 32 years and three beautiful cats. His children; Jennie, Aaron and Joshua, will always remember him for being there for them with a kind heart, open ear, and helping hand.
Harold supported his family as a highly skilled Tool and Die Maker/Machinist. He began his career at Coleman in Wichita, working in the R&D department. He moved to Oklahoma in 1978 where he worked at McDonnell Douglas, Murphy Manufacturing and ultimately American Airlines, where he retired in 2019. He also volunteered as a Firefighter in Verdigris, OK for several years and held rank as Captain.
In his spare time, Harold enjoyed experiencing life and learning new skills. He enjoyed exploring his family history and was proud of his Scottish Heritage. He and Dawn were able to visit Scotland in 2009 and visit the area his ancestors lived. Harold was given the official Title of Lord by Queen Elizabeth II of England on September 7, 2020.
He enjoyed hobbies such as wood turning for ink pens, leather work, machining and his greatest passion, Hot Rod cars. Harold was talented in every aspect of building and maintaining cars, from the engine to the paint and body. He and his wife attended car shows with their 1934 Ford Coupe.
Harold is preceded in death by his father Harold R. Bishop, mother Letha (Evans) Bishop and son Joshua. He leaves behind many loving memories with his Wife, Dawn Bishop, of Catoosa OK, daughter Jennie Bishop-Mueller and husband Scott of Sapulpa OK, son Aaron Anglea of Tulsa OK, and Brother Kenneth & wife Susan of Haysville KS. He was a proud grandpa to Cody, Taylor, Faith and Great-Grandpa to McKenzie, Zoey, and Wyatt. He made and maintained friendships with many people he met along his journey.
