Harold D. Conover of Tulsa, OK passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospital holding his beloved wife, Josefina's hand at the age of 84, who also passed away within the hour of his passing.
Harold entered life on the 5th of October 1936, in Porum, OK to Lillian (McGinnis) Conover and George Conover. He went to Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City, OK and entered the United States Airforce upon graduation. He served honorably for four years and was stationed in Madrid, Spain where he married his wife, Josefina (Fernando Garcia) Conover of 63 years. They had two children; Sandra and Greg who have fond memories of taking trips to South Padre, TX. Their father loved to take them fishing at several lakes including Table Rock and Ft. Gibson. He enjoyed working with his hands and built a basketball court by himself for Greg. Using his mechanical skills, he spent time with Sandra and Greg teaching them how to change tires and how to change oil in the family vehicles. They were parishioners at Saint Mary's when the children were younger, and as their children left home, worshipped at Saint Bernards. Over the past several years, Harold and Josefina's health declined, and their loving children and daughter-in-law, Michelle, stepped in to help care for both. Their children were able to see the love of 63 years of marriage, as they entered rest holding each other's hand.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and George Conover.
