Harold B. Ward, Jr.

Harold B. Ward, Jr., 66, Mounds resident, passed away Saturday evening January 13, 2018, with his sister by his side in Kiefer, Oklahoma.

Harold was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on January 3, 1952, a son of the Vetrus (Tennison) and late Harold Banaugh Ward, Sr. Harold graduated from Boynton High School and entered the U.S. Army. While stationed in Texas, he met his future wife and from that union, they had a daughter, Lana.

Harold worked several roofing jobs and spent a few years in California working on an olive farm. He loved hunting and fishing and just loved being outdoors. As he grew older he could not shoot a deer because he could see the beauty in them.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Ward, Sr. and sister, Betty Thornbury.

Harold is survived by his mother, Vetrus Ward, of Glenpool; daughter, Lana Crain and husband Rotane, of Tulsa; four grandchildren ; sister, Brenda Ward, of Kiefer; two brothers, Roger Ward, of Sand Springs & George Ward, of Mounds.

The family would like to thank Rivercross Hospice for their loving care and compassion during the most difficult times.

Service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel in Glenpool, OK with Pastor Steve Zaferis officiating.
