Hadley Wood, a beloved daughter, entered this world on June 23, 2008, in Tulsa, OK, a radiant light born to Joshua and Courtney Wood. On September 28, 2023, she was called to her eternal resting place, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was 15.
Hadley possessed a remarkable strength of character that defined her. She had a knack for rolling her eyes, a charming quirk that brought smiles to those around her. Her true passion lay in sports, where she excelled in softball, basketball, and track, displaying her unwavering commitment and talent. Beneath her tough exterior, Hadley harbored a tender heart, revealing her deep compassion and kindness.
Music was a source of solace and inspiration for Hadley, and she embraced it with a fervor that touched the lives of others. She was undeniably a "daddy's girl," sharing a special bond with her father, Josh. Hadley's educational journey began in Sapulpa at Freedom Elementary, followed by Jenks Public Schools, before she recently embarked on a new chapter and a home in Kiefer Public Schools in the 8th grade.
Hadley's memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her, including her devoted parents, Josh and Courtney Wood, who will hold her close in their hearts, her brothers: Jacob and Dason; her grandparents: Mark and Brenda Wood, Ronnie and Ronda Turner and Montie Burchett; her Uncle and Aunts: Luke and Emily Oldham, Chris and Jessica Burchett, Cousins: Ruby Oldham, Nolan Burchett and Isabelle Burchett along with a host of other family members and special lifetime friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and a beautiful soul that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her short but impactful life, Hadley Wood taught us the power of determination, the beauty of a tender heart, and the joy found in the rhythm of music. Though she may have left this world too soon, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
May Hadley rest in eternal peace, and may her family find comfort in the cherished memories they created together. She will forever be loved and deeply missed.
