Guy Mitchell Long

Guy Mitchell Long "Quetone" was born on June 10, 1958 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Thomas and Mattie (Fixico) Long. Guy passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Oklahoma City. He was 62 years old. Guy graduated from Okmulgee High School in May of 1977. After high school, he worked for Okmulgee Indian Community for a few years. He later moved to Tulsa where he worked at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds in maintenance for many years. Guy started having back trouble, so he decided to move home to Okmulgee where he spent the rest of his years. He loved OU Sooner football! Guy was a huge fan. Every game day you would see him putting up his OU flags early in the morning. Guy admired horses. He took care of them at the fairgrounds. Guy will be forever in our hearts and truly missed!
Guy is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Vicky Watashe, Karen Long, and Minnie Wolf, and a nephew Bryan Beatty. Survivors include three sisters Sidney Long, Thomasine Long both of Okmulgee, and Lou Ann Messer of Checotah, brother Bobby Long of Okmulgee and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special friends Kent Mayberry and Mike Pahsetopah.
A graveside service for Mr. Long will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Newtown Cemetery. Visitation will be at Schaudt Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service.
