Gordon grew up in Pennfield, Michigan and would attend high school at Pennfield until enlishing in the United States Army in which he served our country from the year 1974 to 1977. Following his honorable discharge from Army, Gordon would go on to be a self contractor in which he worked several jobs over the years such as window washing, rental sales, being a security guard for a church in Texas and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium as well as being a truck driver in which he did for the majority of his working life. There were many memories that could be told by anyone who knew Gordon but several memories that resonated with two of his kids where how during a conversation with Gordon, it didn't matter how well he knew someone but that people were naturally drawn to him. He made people feel safe and comfortable during conversation, like you where all that mattered at that moment.

Gordon worked as a Truck Driver. He is preceded in death by father, George Hard, brother, Terry Hard along with granddaughter, Britni Hard.

Those left to cherish his memory include mother, Betty Lou Hard, children, Joseph Hard and wife Meghan, Kaylyn Keiser and husband Jason, along with Cody Hard and wife Dani. Grandchildren include, Kayla and Elizabeth Keiser, Jason Keiser Jr., Dylan Huitema, Jazmyn Hard, Brody Hard and one great-granddaughter, Hayden Avery Keiser as well as brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews.
