Glenn William Owen

Glenn William Owen, 81, of Okmulgee, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. He was born July 5, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William Carl and Betsy Irene Owen.

On September 5, 1959, Glenn married Eunice Duke in Altus Oklahoma, living in the Altus area until 1974 when the couple moved to Morris, OK then settled in Okmulgee, OK in 1978.

In 1974, Glenn was hired by Covington Aircraft, an Okmulgee-based airplane engine repair company for more than 30 years.

In his free time, Glenn liked to garden, mow lawns for the elderly, work circle-word puzzles, and do woodwork.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eunice Owen, two brothers, Carl Owen and Henry Owen, and two sisters, Alice Householder and Pearl Owen.

He is survived by three sons, Ricky Owen of Altus, OK, Jeff Owen and wife Cathy of Henreyetta, OK, and Larry Owen of Okmulgee, OK; six grandchildren, Kenny Owen of Okmulgee, OK, Jason Owen and wife C.C. of Richmond, TX, Jeremy Owen and wife Winter of Stidham, OK, Kathryn Chambers and husband Aaron of Stidham, OK, Adrian Owen of Okmulgee, OK, and Jordan Owen of Tulsa, OK; four step-grandchildren, Michelle Smith and husband Dennis of Henryetta, Andrew Briggs and wife Angelica of Buffalo Gap, TX, Anna Woodell of Henryetta, and Seth Woodell and wife Stephanie of Okmulgee, OK; seven great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lawson, Dalton, Emmaline, Caleb, Kairie, and Brooke Owen, Spencer and Savannah Chambers; Nine step great grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Smith, Lillilth and Leia Howton, Olivia, Davey and Rilee Woodell, Andi Briggs and Chris Medina; one sister, Florence Householder and husband Manuel of Dorena, OR; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Viewing will be held on Thursday December 13, from 4- 7:00 p.m. at Schaudt’s Funeral Home in Okmulgee, OK.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 14, at 2 p.m. at Schaudt’s Funeral Home in Okmulgee, OK.

Interment will follow at the Dustin Cemetery in Dustin, OK.
