Glenn Hicks

William "Glenn" Hicks, age 72, passed away on September 7, 2021.

Glenn was born on July 15, 1949 in San Francisco, CA to William Hicks and Maxine (O'Bannon) Hicks. The family moved to Plainview, Texas where he graduated from Plainview High School in 1967. After graduation Glenn enlisted in the Navy, and served for four years. After the Navy, he attended West Texas A&M and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.

While living in Texas, Glenn met his future wife, Sandra Smith, from Plainview, Texas. He relocated to Tulsa and then she followed and the two were married in 1979. Together they had one son, Brian, born in November of 1982.

He retired in 2006 and began volunteering at the food pantry, and as a driver for the VA. Glenn and Sandra eventually built their dream home and moved to the Grand Lake area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Sandra Hicks and son, Brian (Sarah) Hicks, grandsons Harrison and Hudson Hicks of Tulsa and his beloved dog, Sophie, along with many extended family members and a host of friends.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital on Glenn's behalf.
