Emblem

Glenn Alan Dickey of Morris, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on March 15, 1950, in Bryan, TX, to his loving parents, John and Norma (Robertson) Dickey. Glenn's heritage dates back decades to his great-great grandfather who was Scottish and married to a Peruvian woman.

Glenn graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1968, and, nearly a decade later, proudly served his country as a Deep Sea and Salvage Diver in the United States Navy, beginning his service on December 5, 1977. His bravery and dedication to his fellow service members were hallmarks of his military career. After leaving the Navy, he pursued higher education at the University of North Texas, earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology and graduating Magna Cum Laude, demonstrating his commitment, hard work, and determination. Glenn still has many friends in Arlington, and his home state of Texas.

On March 6, 2013, Glenn married the love of his life, Ollie Juanita "Nita" Littlefield, in Okmulgee, having first started dating on August 14, 2003. Glenn was a life-long Texan, only leaving Texas in 2013 to marry Nita. Throughout his life, Glenn held various jobs but found his true calling as an RV Technician and business owner, eventually retiring from this field. He also spent over 35 years in the printing industry and owned a cleaning service.

Glenn deeply loved cars, particularly his Model T Ford and his white convertible Corvette, which he joyfully purchased two months ago. Glenn also had five guitars and two motorcycles. His musical tastes ranged from classical compositions to the sounds of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Glenn was a World Chili Cookoff champion for CASI in 1997 and a member of the Henryetta R/C Aviators Club. His passions also included Kung Fu, anthology, and the great outdoors.

Glenn is preceded in death by his father, John Dickey; step-father, Jacob Stroud; and his brother, Paul Dickey. He is survived by his wife, Nita Dickey; his mother, Norma Dickey; daughter Stacy Dickey; son Trey; brother David Dickey; sister Donna Garske; step-daughters; Theresa Martin and Christina Claypool, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with one on the way. He is also remembered fondly by many other loving relatives and friends.
