Glenn Brown

January 18, 1940 — December 24, 2024

Glenn Lyle Brown, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Houston, TX, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 18, 1940, in Tulsa, OK, to Lee and Lurena Brown.

Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Carolyn Brown; his cherished children, Tisha Dolezal (Lyle) and Jennifer Robertson (Kevin); and his adored grandchildren, Reese and Rhett Dolezal and Grant Robertson. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Nadine Hester and Lee Brown (Bette), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A proud Tulsa native, Glenn graduated from Webster High School and went on to earn his bachelor and masters degree from Northeastern State University. He dedicated his career to education, serving as a physical education teacher at Waite Phillips Elementary School for 28 years, where he touched the lives of countless students with his kindness, patience, and enthusiasm.

Glenn was a man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed remodeling houses and woodworking, crafting pieces that reflected his skill and creativity. He also played an integral role in his wife Carolyn's flower shop, delivering flowers and spreading joy to the community.

Despite his many interests, Glenn was a true homebody at heart. He had an enduring love for his home state of Oklahoma, finding comfort and joy in its familiar landscapes. Above all, Glenn treasured time spent with his grandchildren, who brought endless laughter and pride to his life. He also found joy in fishing, playing cards, and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.

Glenn's legacy is one of love, devotion, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
