Gertrude Francis Blose

Gertrude Francis (Loyd) Blose passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2009 at her Sapulpa residence surrounded by her loving family members.
Gertrude was born March 2, 1920 in Childers, Oklahoma to Joseph Loyd and Goldie (Willis) Loyd. She attended Delaware High School. Gertrude married Aubrey "Homer" Blose on March 9, 1937 and was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing dominos and visiting with friends and her family. Gertrude lived in Kiefer, Oklahoma before moving to Sapulpa. She was baptized July 26, 1969 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Goldie Loyd; her husband: Homer Blose (1974) her brothers: Alvin and Earl Loyd; her two sons: Bob and Leon Blose and her daughter: Karen Sue Downs (2008).
She is survived by her sons: Jay Blose and his wife, Cora Lee; Billy Blose; her daughters: Barbara Huey and her husband, Gale; Nancy Patterson and her husband, Perry; Renee Cosper and her husband, James; her two sisters: Edna Hatcher, Nowata, Oklahoma, Wyvone Drake, Highlandville, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1123 Brenner Road, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Don Meintz will officiate.
