Georgia May (Ballenger) Stipulkosky, age 93, died on June 21, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on November 16, 1925 in Picher, Oklahoma to the late Harvey and Bertha (Smith) Ballenger and graduated from Webb City High School. During her childhood she called herself a “tomboy” playing outdoors with her older brother and his friends, sliding down chat piles in Picher and enjoying a simple life during hard times of The Great Depression and World War II.
During the later years of the war, she met her husband-to-be, Thomas Stipulkosky, at a USO dance. They were married after the end of World War II in Webb City, Missouri in January of 1946. They were married for 61 years.
Tom & Georgia lived in many parts of the country as they followed his career with the Missouri Pacific/Union Railroad, starting the journey in Joplin, Mo and retiring in Fort Worth, Tx. Georgia worked for many years as an accountant for various dairies and in public accounting. She enjoyed spending time outdoors pursuing her hobbies of fishing and gardening. She loved being around people and made friends wherever she went. Always a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Above all, Georgia loved the Lord. Her favorite stories were about wonderful things He had done in her life and the lives of her family. We know she is having a wonderful time in Heaven with Jesus and family members that went before.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, parents, Harvey and Bertha Ballenger, brother Harley Ballenger, and sisters Shirley Olsen and Patricia Stornelli. She is survived her brother Gordon Ballenger of Clayton, DE, her children Thomas Stipulkosky, Jr. of Agora Hills, CA, Shirley Ludwig of Tulsa, OK and Sharon Andreucci of Galax, VA, 6 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren.
