George Franklin Jessee

George Franklin Jessee, 83, of Jenks, OK, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Saint Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, OK.

George was born in Tulsa, OK on February 13, 1934, to the late Cleo P. (Combs) Jessee and George M. Jessee. Upon his high school graduation, he entered college and received his master's degree in education. George married his loving wife, Eleanor Louise (Franklin) on August 20, 1955 in Tulsa, OK. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC and was honorably discharged in 1957. George continued his service to our country and retired at the rank of MSgt from the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He retired from his love of coaching football and teaching after more than 30 years. George was a faithful member of Tulsa Hills Baptist Church, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Cleo and George Jessee and two grandsons; Cole VanHuss and Brad Jessee.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor Louise, children; Drew Jessee of Bixby, OK, Lisa VanHuss and husband Curtis of Bixby, OK, grandchildren; Jessee VanHuss and his wife Jennifer, Trent VanHuss, Gable VanHuss, Sean Jessee and wife Erin, with many extended family and friends.
