George Clinton

George Clinton age 87 passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Clare Bridge in Tulsa, Oklahoma. George was born April 30, 1924 in Mulberry, Kansas to Charles (Frank) Clinton and Bertha (Ellings) Clinton. He graduated from Hartsthorne High School and from Tulsa University with a degree in petroleum engineering. George married L. Maxine (Church) Clinton on October 11, 1955. George served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He retired in 1984 after thirty-one years of employment with Cities Service Oil Company. George was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa. George was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Bertha Clinton. He is survived by his wife, L. Maxine Clinton of Tulsa, his daughters, Linda Horstmann and Cathy Bryant, his sister, Nellie Fine, his sister in-law, Bernice Clinton, his two grandsons, George and Kyle along with other family members, friends and acquaintances.
