Gary William DeGraff, age 62 passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
On December 17, 1943 Gary DeGraff was born in Richmond, Minnesota to Leonard DeGraff and Veta F. (Quinnette) DeGraff. In 1963 he graduated from Concordia High School in Concordia, Kansas. G
ary married Jacqueline Hoover on August 22, 1975 in Wichita, Kansas. They moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma 21 years ago coming from Missouri. Mr. DeGraff enlisted into the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Leonardwood, Kansas. He was recalled to active duty in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He retired as a Sergeant First Class (E7) on September 16, 1996 with an honorable discharge. Most recently he worked as a security guard for Securitas Security, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In his spare time Mr. DeGraff liked hunting, target shooting, reading, and treasure hunting, He owned a '69 Buick and enjoyed going to car shows, but most of all he received great pleasure playing with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Leonard DeGraff in 1990 and his son, Dana Encarnacion.
Gary William DeGraff is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline DeGraff of Glenpool; his mother: Veta DeGraff of Sapulpa; his sons: Randy Encarnacion and his wife, Candy of Tulsa; Anthony Encarnacion and his wife, Julie of Parsons, Kansas; Jeff DeGraff and his wife, Kelly of Marlboro, Maryland; daughters: Leaona Ellis and her husband, Lee of Parsons, Kansas; Erlinda West and her husband, Jacob of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Paula DeGraff of Salina, Kansas along with 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Jenks First United Methodist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Reverend David E. Karges will officiate.
Music selections were: €œUnchained Melody€ performed by Tony Encarnacion; €œWind Beneath My Wings€ performed by grandchildren: Charity Spiach and David Ellis; €œAmazing Grace€ performed by Shawn Encarnacion, Randy Encarnacion. David Ellis and Ryan Ellis.
Pallbearers were: Shawn Encarnacion, Randy Encarnacion, David Ellis, Ryand Ellis, Lee Ellis and Jacob West.
