In a marriage that spanned 47 beautiful years, Gary shared his life with his beloved wife, Patricia Phillips. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, building a bond that was unbreakable.

Gary was a devoted father to his sons, Eric Todd Phillips and Barry Lance Phillips. His love and guidance shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. His grandchildren, Makijah, Kaylee, Chloe, Wesley, and Bentley, were the lights of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Among Gary's passions were fishing, a pursuit that brought him solace and joy whether he was casting from the shore or drifting along in a boat. His voice filled with song, he found peace in music, and his adventurous spirit led him to explore the open road on his beloved motorcycles. Hiking the rugged trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains or basking in the sun on Myrtle Beach brought him immense pleasure.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Phillips and Christine Mathews. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Phillips; sons, Eric Todd Phillips and Barry Lance Phillips; grandchildren, Makijah, Kaylee, Chloe, Wesley, and Bentley; sister, Jennifer Sheehan; stepfather, Harold Mathews, and a host of other family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
