Gary Lawrence Passoni

October 15, 1949 - September 11, 2024

Gary Lawrence Passoni, 74, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Born on October 15, 1949, in New York, NY, Gary was the cherished son of Edward and Evelyn (Roscigno) Passoni.

Gary graduated East Meadow High School in 1967, and pursued his passion for history at Queens College, earning a Bachelor's degree before continuing his studies toward a Masters at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. 

In 1976, Gary left East Meadow, NY and embarked on a new chapter, joining his sister Debbie in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gary would set up a new life here, with a beautiful family and wonderful friends, but always keep a part of himself as a New Yorker with friends and family there, and of course a forever fan of the NY Yankees. Gary had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. His perfect day often included a slice of pizza, a game of cards, and a long conversation with his beloved sister Val about their favorite baseball team. Gary was known for his friendly and approachable nature, always willing to talk to anyone and lend a helping hand whenever needed.

Above all, Gary was a devoted "PaPa" who took immense pride in his grandchildren. His heart was full when spending time with them, and he cherished every moment as their proud grandfather.

Gary is survived by his loving daughters, Kari Passoni and her husband Victor Torres, Kristen LeMaster and her husband Bob, and Cassidy Dowd and her husband Stephen; his dear sisters Val Passoni and Debbie Pulsinelli and her husband Rocky; his niece Lauren Taylor and her husband Travis, his nephew and Godson Ryan Pulsinelli and his six adored grandchildren, Alex, Bella, Oscar, London, Gabe and Charlie. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Gary's legacy of love, kindness, and passion for life will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life for Gary will be announced for a later date in October.
