Freddie Gene Smith

Freddie Gene Smith, age 70, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Muskogee Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Mr. Smith was born January 4, 1936 to Morgan William Smith, Jr. and Elsie Grace Butcher in Dallas, Texas. Freddie graduated in 1955 from Crozier Tech High School in Texas. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. Freddie was a Christian and lived in Dallas during his younger years before moving to the Tulsa area approximately 25 years ago. He met and married the love of his life, Anita Bolch, November 13, 1979 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Before retirement Freddie was a self-employed truck driver.
Some of Freddie's hobbies were playing golf, going fishing, collecting baseball hats, and watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. He got great pleasure attending his grandchildren's football and basketball games.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother: Elsie Grace Smith Langston.
Mr. Smith is survived by his father: Morgan William Smith, Jr. and step-mother, Virginia Smith of Dallas, Texas; his wife: Anita Smith of Glenpool, Oklahoma; son: Robert Gene Smith of Dallas, Texas; step-sons: Brett Allen and his wife, Laura of Glenpool, Oklahoma; Bryan Allen and his wife, Jeannie of Glenpool, Oklahoma; three brothers: Ritchie Morgan Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Everett Wayne Smith of Dallas, Texas; Kenneth Ray Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters: Wanda Fay McKinney of Dallas, Texas and Elise Ledbetter and her husband, Steve of Mesquite, Texas; sister in-law: Janice Barton and husband, Bill Sanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma along with three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Freddie Gene Smith was a great brother, husband, father and grandfather.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Faith Church in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
