Fred Edward Lane

Fred Edward Lane passed away early Friday morning, March 20, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born July 29, 1923 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Vernon Wilcox and Julia Mary (Bodenhammer) Lane.

Fred graduated from Okmulgee High School in the Class of 1941. He served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Mary Crocker on June 18, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland. Mary was Scottish and they were both members of the Tulsa Ceileih Dancers. Fred loved photography and was involved with the Tulsa Photograpy Society.

Fred was preceded by his wife Mary Elizabeth Crockard Lane; his parents; his son-in-laws: Lee V. Myers and Burr P. Crickard; and his granddaughter Julie Crickard. He is survived by his children: Elsie Julia Crickard, Vernon John Lane, Laurabelle Jane Myers, Elizabeth Jean Holt and husband James; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services will be planned at a later date. Fred will be laid to rest with his wife at Memorial Park Cemetery.
