Frank Scott Anderson, Tulsa resident, died early Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side at the age of 77 years.
Frank was born on May 15, 1940 in Midland, MI to his parents, William Jack Anderson and Ruth “Chicken” Ann (Scott) Anderson. His family relocated to Oklahoma where his family owned Port Cherokee Resort in Ghost Hollow on Grand Lake. He graduated from Jay Schools in Delaware County.
Frank worked with Mary’s brother Howard in Tulsa. He met Mary through her brother and immediately asked her on a date and she said ‘Yes’. Their first date started an almost six decade long loving relationship which included over 56 years of marriage and two daughters. Frank and Mary raised their two girls in Southwest Tulsa and attended Winnetka Heights Baptist Church where lifelong friendships were formed.
Frank’s two girls married and moved away from Tulsa, but when his first grand child was born he decided that he and Mary needed to move to Claremore, OK to be closer to his youngest daughter and her family. While living in Claremore, Frank and his family attended church at First Baptist Church of Claremore. Frank and Mary lived in Claremore for 17 years and upon moving back to the Tulsa area they became members of Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Frank enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing, as well as fishing with his daughter Cyndi, 4 wheeling, camping and jogging with his daughter Sheila.
Frank worked as a Purchasing Manager for Nutter Engineering. Frank was a loving family man and a jokester; he seemed to be always on the go. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Drucilla Sherman. He leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Mary; daughters, Sheila Greaves and husband John, and Cynthia Anderson and fiancé Joe Holderman; grandchildren, Kristen Holland and husband Joshua, J.R. Greaves III, Austin Scott Greaves; great-grandchildren, Kai Louise Holland, Jude Benjamin Holland, and Jett Daniel Holland; nephews, Avery Sherman, Tim Sherman, and Paul Sherman; as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.
Viewing and Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday March 15, 2018 at Schaudt’s Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Drive.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday March 16, 2018 at Arrow Heights Baptist Church, 3201 S Elm Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 with Pastor Andy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at McMain’s Cemetery in Centralia, Oklahoma.
