Frank Allen Thompson age 74 passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Continuous Care Center located in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Thompson was born in Mulhall, Oklahoma on March 3, 1932 to Frank Allen Thompson and Ollie Boyce Woodard Thompson. He attended and graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall, Oklahoma. He was raised in a Methodist Orphanage in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. On February 10, 1948 when Frank was sixteen years old he joined the United States Army and served his country for four years.
He met and married the love of his life, Juanita J. Gleason, and they were united in marriage in Okmulgee, Oklahoma November 30, 1953. This month would have been 53 years of marriage. Frank and his wife raised four children. Mr. Thompson enjoyed reading, watching movies and spending time outdoors. Frank loved music and had a great singing voice. He received great pleasure spending time with his six grandchildren and his nine great grandchildren. Frank Thompson spent 48 years living in Cypress, California. He retired to Beggs, Oklahoma in August of 2004. He spent forty years in the oil field industry working as a driller.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Ollie Thompson, his brother: Lloyd Wilburn along with numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife: Juanita J. Thompson of Beggs, Oklahoma; two sons: Gary W. Sharp of Garden Grove, California; Frank A. Thompson, Jr. and his wife Linda Diane of Diamond Bar, California; two daughters: Linda K. Sharp of San Marcos, Texas; Toni M. Jones of Beggs, Oklahoma; his sister: Boyce Biggs and her husband, Marion of Bristow, Oklahoma; his sister in-law, Maxine Wilburn of Stillwater, Oklahoma; his brother in-law: James Gleason and his wife, Eva Fay of Beggs, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A private family service will take place at a later date in Beggs, Oklahoma.
