Floyd Jasper Gale

Floyd Jasper Gale passed away on Saturday morning, November 29, 2014 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. He was born June 16, 1921 in Atoka to Buck and Effie (Southern) Gale. Floyd attended high school in Atoka prior to moving to California with his family in 1936 during the dust bowl. He drove a truck in his early years. Floyd married his first wife Hazel on November 16, 1940. He loved fishing and working with horses. He rode broncs growing up and always enjoyed working cattle. Floyd was a great storyteller. He worked in the Tulsa Public Schools janitorial department for over 105 schools. Floyd retired in 1983 as building superintendent at the age of 62. He was a member of the VFW Post in Turley and most recently member of the VFW Post in Collinsville. Floyd served our country honorably in the United States Army. He was also a member of Maranantha Baptist Temple.
Floyd is survived by his current wife Alice "Fern" Gale; his children Debbie R. Allen, Steven Daniel Scarborough, Valerie Brinson, and daughter-in-law Vicki Lund Scarborough; his grandchildren Rhonda, Anna, Floyd, Nathan, Zachary, Joseph, Matthew, Preston, Morgan, Buddy, Katie, and Alexie. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.

Services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, December 3 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Sperry with Rev. Don Moseby officiating. Military honors will be performed by the United States Army.
