Florence Virginia Jackson

Florence Virginia Jackson (Raley) passed away at the age of 91 on March 5, 2018 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was born in Nash, Oklahoma on February 5, 1927 to the parents of Isom Raley and Florence Raley (Cowles). Virginia married the love of her life George Jackson on March 26, 1946 and the two of them spent 71 years of wonderful marriage together.

Virginia spent her whole life being a homemaker in her own home. She took pride getting to be a wife and a mother to her family that she loved dearly. She enjoyed being outside any chance she got; gardening and flowers were her favorite. There wasn't one specific flower that she adored more than the other she loved them all. Virginia loved her home being filled with love, laughter and noise of all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at her home. The more the merrier she always thought; who ever wanted to come over could be there. She was a mom a grandma to all and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Isom and Florence Raley; children, George Raymond, Allen Dean and Jerry Wayne; one great grandchild, Liberty Elizabeth Rose; sisters, Betty Farrow, Fern Baker, Earlene Randall, Joyce Brown and Mary Judd; brothers, J. R. Raley, W.H. Raley and Eddie Raley.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, George Jackson; son, Paul Jackson and wife Sheri of Okmulgee; daughter in law, Pam Jackson of Tahlequah; sister, Jackie Cooper and husband Bud of Checotah; grandchildren, David Jackson and wife Holly of Tulsa, Kevin Jackson and wife Kara of Tahlequah, Melissa Jackson of Okmulgee, Tina Shanks and husband Michael of Okmulgee, Amanda Neugin and husband Nathan of Tahlequah and Cody Jackson of Okmulgee; great grandchildren, Zoe, Malakhi, Elijah, Zailah, Judah, Jax, Rosily, Anna, Marah, Trinity and Landen and many other friends and family that will always cherish the memories they had with her.

Visitation is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Schaudt’s Funeral Service in Okmulgee, OK from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

Funeral Service honoring the life of Virginia Jackson will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee, OK with Pastor Lawrence Matlock officiating. Interment will follow at Holland, Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
