Florence Marie Brown

Florence Marie Brown, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away November 13, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born December 5, 1928 to Hugh and Myrtle (Thurman) McElhannon in Paden, Oklahoma. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and bowling and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Myrtle McElhannon; sister, Betty Stange and daughter, Yvonne Silkwood. Survivors include her husband Charles L. Brown of the home; two children, Fred Bonner and wife, Sherri of Tulsa and Glendale Bonner and wife, Shelonia of Tulsa; brother, Billy McElhannon of Henryetta; sister, Helen Fuller of Henryetta; four grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Raymond Doke officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Salt Creek Cemetery in Wilson under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home.
