Florence Estell Denton

Florence Estell Denton, a resident of Asher, OK, was born on May 22, 1921. She was a member of the Asher Church Of Christ. She worked for many years as a hospice volunteer, and was an avid member of the senior citizens in the community of Asher. She also delivered meals to the elderly. Estell was a devoted wife and mother. She was "mamaw" to many, even ones who were not related and could not resist her loving, warm, and gentle smiles and her awesome hugs. She enjoyed making her ceramics and sharing them with many people for keepsakes. The Hummingbirds in Asher, OK will also miss her tender care that she gave them each year. Estell was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Denton, Brother Emmit Owen, step-daughter Martha Kroner, and Anne Caldwell. She is survived by her son Donald Denton and wife Linda of Henryetta, step-children: Paul Denton and wife Irene of Missouri, David Denton and wife Serita of Shawnee, OK, John Denton and wife Diana of Mustang, OK, Dorothy Denton of Edmond, OK; as well as 21 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Florence Estell Denton will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00Am at the Asher Church of Christ located at 310 E. Main in Asher, OK.
