Farlena Jo Alexander passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at her home in Tulsa. She was born January 21, 1939 in Garr Corner, Oklahoma to Farley and Aumatine (Norvell) Hickey. Farlena graduated from Ada Senior High School. She married Jim Quale, the love of her life, on October 21, 1963.
Farlena and Jim owned and operated the Nicoma Park Florist for many years. She was later employed by Drysdale's in the accounting department in Tulsa. She loved animals and her cats always had a special place in her heart. In her early years she spent a lot of time outdoors hunting deer and fishing. She was president of the local PTA in Nicoma Park. Farlena was involved with various school activities and organizations while raising her daughter.
Farlena was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her daughter Kim Piper and husband Pat; her sister and best friend Janice Krawiec and husband Steven; her grandson Quinn Patrick Piper; her half-sister Debbie Averitt; and her kitty cat Racky.
