Evelyn L. Battle

Evelyn Lavern Battle age 75 passed away at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 8th at her residence in Mounds, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Battle was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on June 2, 1930 to Jack Brown and Leola Eads. She met and married Robert Battle. She resided in Mounds, Oklahoma for the last 32 years coming from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Battle enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking. She was a member of Mounds First Baptist church for 22 years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents: Jack and Leola Brown; her loving husband, Robert who passed away December 9, 2003 and 3 brothers.
She is survived by her sisters: Judy and her husband, Gerald Snow of Broken Arrow, OK; Karen and her husband, Craig Bills of Broken Arrow, OK; Sharon and her husband, Glenn Lang of Grove, OK; her two daughters: Kathy and her husband, Gary Harp, of Glenpool, OK and Jeannie and her husband, George Stopp of Mounds, OK; her two sons: James "Scooter" Battle and his wife Janice of Ripley,OK and Mike Battle and his wife Jennifer of Sand Springs,OK. Mrs. Battle is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
