Eugene Herbert Brown

On Friday, April 4, 2008 Eugene Herbert Brown, Jr. passed away peacefully at his Broken Arrow residence surrounded by family members.
Eugene was born October 16, 1922 in Cadillac, Michigan to Eugene Herbert Brown, Sr. and Rose Marie (Lindestrom) Brown. He graduated from Manton High School in 1941. He enlisted into the United States Army November 20, 1942 and served his country until February 16, 1946. In May of 1959 he married Ida Delores Dee (Heath) Brown in Grenada, Mississippi. He attended Wheaton University and Tulsa University. Eugene worked as a lab technician in the oil and gas industry. After thirty-seven years of working for Amoco Oil Company, he retired on May 1, 1984.
Eugene was an avid football fan and basketball fan for OU, TU, Michigan State and Detroit Lions. He enjoyed watching videos, traveling, fly fishing and fishing for trout. He resided in Broken Arrow for the last twenty years coming from Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by both parents: Eugene and Rose Marie Brown; his brother Wafford Paul Brown.
He is survived by his wife: Delores Dee Brown; his son: James Eugene Brown and his wife, Paula; step-daughter: Debria D. Carter, three granddaughters: Elizabeth, Raquel and Amanda; one brother: Alastair Brown and one sister: Ruth Brown Belleville.
A memorial service honoring Eugene Herbert Brown, Jr. will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Reverend John Winstead will officiate.
