Eugene Delbert Ledbetter age 76 passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 at his Tulsa, Oklahoma residence.
Eugene was born December 20, 1932 in Sedan, Kansas to Harvey Calvin Ledbetter and Daisy May (Johnson) Ledbetter. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Eugene worked as an aviation painter for thirty years for Boeing. He married Dorothy Cope in 1956. He was noted for his "green thumb" and enjoyed working in his garden. Eugene liked cooking and volunteered fifteen thousand hours of cooking for the Evangelistic Temple School and was honored with a plaque for his endeavors. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents: Harvey Calvin and Daisy Ledbetter; his five brothers: Orville, Jesse, Roy, Harvey, Aldean, his three sisters: Edna, Bessie, Melzenia, and his daughter: Lisa Ann Ledbetter (September 1984). He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Ledbetter of Tulsa; his sister: Annabel Dolly Edgar and her husband, Alan of Cleveland; his sister in-law: Marie Ledbetter; his son: Andrew John Ledbetter of Tulsa; his two daughters: Laura Castillo and Sarah Ledbetter of Tulsa; his two grandchildren: Amber Reed and Gabriel Castillo; two great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Evangelistic Temple , 5345 South Peoria, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
