Ernie M. Potter

Ernie Monroe Potter, 70, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, at his residence.

He was born in Cabot, AR on January 9, 1947, a son of the late Lula Irene (Head) and Reuben Lloyd Potter. He proudly served our country in the US Army from 1968 to 1972.

Ernie married the love of his life, Gail Pruitt on September 21, 1973, celebrating 43 years of marriage last year.

He received his Computer Science Associates Degree from Tulsa Junior College and worked as an IT Technician. He was a Shiner, active until his health started to decline.

Ernie enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, hunting, fishing; traveling many times to HI; Boston, Florida, and Las Vegas. He was a prankster & loved to play jokes on family and friends, enjoying making himself as well as others laugh.

He leaves many loving memories with his wife, Gail; a brother, Lloyd, husband of Trisha Potter; several nieces & nephews; as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, 3 brothers.

Funeral services celebrating Ernie's life will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. He will be escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders of Oklahoma. Military Honors will be provided by the US Army Honor Guard.
