Ernest H. Cornelius, Jr.

Ernest H. Cornelius, Jr. age 86 died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Glenwood Health Center in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Ernest was born December 16, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1941. Ernest retired from Phillips Petroleum Company after thirty-three years. During this time he worked four years on Alaskan pipe line as project auditor. He later worked as a hotel general manager until final retirement in 1988. Cornelius was a past Flotilla Commander of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in Omaha, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his special wife: Phyllis, his sister: Marjorie Ann Andrews of Tulsa; Virginia Eby; and his son: Ernest H. Cornelius, III of Glenpool (March 29, 2010).
Ernest is survived by his son: Russell Cornelius and his wife, Veola of San Diego, California; his daughter: Shirley Fletcher and her husband, Don of Omaha, Nebraska; his Daughter in law: Judy Cornelius; his grandchildren: Steve, Donna, Debbie, Jacquie and Mandy along with many great grandchildren.

Memorial services 10:30 a.m. Friday at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Reverend Heather Bartlow will officiate.
