Emily Dawn Edwards Hayes, 35, of Muskogee, OK passed from this life, Monday, December 23, 2013 in Muskogee.
Emily was born September 28, 1978 in Muskogee, OK to J.W. and Elada Edwards. She graduated from Wagoner High School in 1997. Emily received a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of social work from Northeastern State University in May of 2001. Emily began her career as a child welfare specialist for the department of human services, serving both Wagoner and Tulsa Counties; however, her favorite role in life was being Andy Hayes’ loving wife and Annie’s mommy.
Emily Hayes was preceded in death by her mother Elada Edwards two years ago. She is survived by her husband Andy Hayes, attorney of Muskogee, their two-year old daughter, Annie Hayes of Muskogee; her father J.W. Edwards of Wagoner, OK; sister and brother-in-law David & Shelley Brumbaugh, nieces Abigail and Hannah Brumbaugh of Broken Arrow; brother and sister-in-law Chris & Julia Edwards, nephews Jarrad and Nick Edwards of Wagoner; father-in-law and mother-in-law D.D. and Marcy Hayes of Muskogee, OK; and her sister-in-law Jenny Kent with nephews Andrew and Hayes Ericson and nieces, Olivia and Eloise Ericson of Muskogee, OK.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Muskogee, OK. Graveside services to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner, OK. Visitation will be held all day Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Schaudt-Teel Funeral Home in Tulsa, OK. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Muskogee.
