Elsie Mann of Morris, Oklahoma was born to Homer and Ellen Treat on November 27, 1938, in Liberty Morris, Oklahoma. She passed away at home on August 20, 2020, at the age of 81 experiencing God’s mercy and grace at its fullest. No greater time does one experience the fullness of mercy and grace than in death. We know that Jesus was there to escort her home where she was finally told “well done my good and faithful servant”. Elsie spent most of her life in the Morris area. She worked at Randy’s Foods and more than 20 years at Ball Glass Plant where she retired in 1994. Elsie was a dedicated Christian and spent her life making sure her children knew who the Lord was and how important He is in your everyday life. She spent years sitting at the dining room table with her Bible quietly studying and praying showing by example and spirit the importance of having a relationship with Jesus. She faithfully prayed for her family, church family, and friends every day. She often told her children that “You can be sad and bitter, or you can smile and get through it”. Elsie was a positive person and believed with all her heart that you can get through anything with Jesus on your side. Elsie is known as “granny” in the Morris area. She has shared in the lives of so many kids over the years in that area that we have lost count. Granny loved them all and they have all returned that love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ellen (Howell) Treat, brothers Eugene Treat (Betty), David Treat, Bill Treat and sisters, Pat Smith (Virgil), Barbara Loague (Dave), and Lucille Edmonds (Dale). Surviving siblings are Jim Treat (Emma) of Beggs, Oklahoma and Linda Holden (Gary) of Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sharon King, Sandra Northcross, and Pam Coil. Grandchildren are Jeff and Joeann King, Jason and Jessica King, Josh and Shayla King, Sarah and Sam Wood, Katie King, Jennifer Foster (Brandon Simon), and Bobbi Clark. She also had many great grandchildren Kelly, J. Tyler, Kenzie, Kami, Joey, Whitney, Chloe, Connor, Cooper, Hank Wood, Baby Wood, Nautica, Kierra, and Brandon Jr. Elsie was blessed abundantly with a host of great great grandkids that kept her busy and filling her life with joy in her later years.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jeff King, Jason King, Josh King, Connor King, Cooper King, Brandon Simon Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Wood and Brandon Simon Sr.

At the Funeral service we kindly ask that everyone wear a mask if possible while in attendance. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
