Elmer Franklin "Frank" Headley, 90, passed away, Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Claremore, OK. Frank was born February 16, 1926 in Jere, WV to Horace Paul and Edith Jane (Cowell) Headley.
When Frank was just 14 years old he worked in the coal mines and bought his first car before he could drive. Frank joined the United States Army and served in WWII for one year in Germany delivering milk to different camps. After the war he moved to Dewey, OK. Frank married the love of his life, Iretha May Marshall in December, 1950 in Bartlesville, OK. He was a machinist for P & S Engineering Company (Drilling Rigs) in Bartlesville. Frank retired from Ridgid Company.
Frank loved racing. He especially loved Harrington Race Cars and working on cars at the Dewey Speedway. He liked to farm, planted Hay, wheat , soy beans, and milo. Frank continuously kept himself busy, love to help people work through their mechanical problems.
Frank is survived by his son, Donald Headley and his wife, Cynthia of Claremore; daughter, Cynthia Jo Skeen and her husband, Ralph of Spokane, MO; grandchildren: Amanda Jean Headley; Samuel Paul Headley; Veronica Ramirez and her husband, Adrian; Melinda Stine and her husband, Justin; Alan Gomez; and twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
