Elliott Luther Ellis, 61, of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away July 5, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Elliott was born in Aurora, Colorado on January 23, 1961. The only son of the late Florence J. Ellis Martin and Orbie Rosco Ellis.
Elliott is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Maria Ellis and their four children, Dustin Luther Ellis, Stephanie Dawn Ellis, Nevaeh Marie Ellis, and David Elliott Ellis.
Elliott graduated from Midway High School in Council Hill, OKlahoma in 1979. Following graduation he went in the Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina as a Telecommunicator Specialist. After serving four years, Elliott and Maria moved to Warner, Oklahoma where he went to work for Cross Telephone until landing the career he had his heart set on with Southwestern Bell Telephone now known as AT&T. He worked with this company for 30 years as Senior Install and Repair Technician before retiring in 2021.
Elliott was dedicated to his family, his goal was to always make sure they were taken care of, especially when it came to Nevaeh and David. They had him wrapped around their fingers and the word "no" was not in his vocabulary, so the sky was always the limit. Nevaeh and David brought a side out of Elliott that not many got to see. All they had to do was smile and he would melt. They are what kept him going until the very end.
Elliott enjoyed his old cars, motorcycles and taking road trips every chance he could.
But his true passion for the outdoors was his garden, that he took pride in, with every year he'd say "It has to be bigger and better" and usually was.
Elliott made many friends and touched many hearts throughout his lifetime, he's leaving behind many wonderful memories.
Elliott has taken his final road trip to tend to the garden of his dreams, where he will forever grow abundant crops and beauty is never ending.
