Potts, Elizabeth M. (Lilly) Nov. 1, 1925 ' Jan. 6, 2013. Born and raised in Bolzano, Italy. Fell in love with an Army soldier she met at the end of World War II because his troop occupied the hotel she parked her bike at when she went to work each day. In 1946 she married George W. Potts in Gorizia, Italy. She came to this country in 1947 and proudly became an American citizen in 1950. Even after 60 years of speaking fluent English, Lilly still charmed the world with her German accent and sparkle in her eyes. Lilly was preceded in death by her husband George W. Potts, her mother Elisabetta Elise Dejak, father, Camillo Dejak, and grandson Christopher Potts. She is survived by sons George Potts of Denver CO and Peter Potts of Jenks OK, daughter Irene Paulin of Sacramento CA, brother Camillo Dejak of Venice, Italy and his two sons, 3 grand-children Shawn Potts, Bryan Potts, Tamerah Hill, and 4 great-grandchildren Taylor Elizabeth Potts, Austin Potts, Kaitlin Potts and Isaiah Hill. Lilly loved to hike, travel, garden and read. She was active in the Society of Military Widows in Denver CO and the Senior Center in Carson City NV. At 87 Lilly was ready to leave this world and was fortunate to live her final days being cared for by family in the home of son Peter and wife Terry . Lilly was a caring Mother and friend who will be missed and remain alive in the hearts of family and friends! We are relieved Lilly has found the peace she so desired after having a full life. A private service will take place at a later time and Lilly will then finally join her late husband at Ft. Logan Cemetery, Denver CO.
