Elizabeth Cooper

January 22, 1945 — August 7, 2024

Elizabeth Ann Cooper, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 79. Born on January 22, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to John Eurtis Snow and Marie (Palmer) Snow, Elizabeth lived a life filled with love, compassion, and creativity.

In her early years, Elizabeth met the love of her life, Harold Cooper, and the two were married on March 18, 1961 in Stigler, Oklahoma. Their union was one of unwavering devotion and partnership for 63 years, marked by a deep connection that carried them through life's many adventures.

Elizabeth was a true caregiver at heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her warmth and generosity of spirit touched everyone who knew her. A talented cook, she took pride in creating meals that brought people together, always striving to be the best she could be in everything she did. Her artistic talent was another of her many gifts, allowing her to recreate beautiful pieces from images and even create a few originals of her own. Several watercolor paintings received first place ribbons at Tulsa State Fair.

As a dedicated member of the Sapulpa, Oklahoma Nazarene Church, Elizabeth found joy in her faith and her community. Her life was enriched by the opportunity to travel, thanks to Harold's career as an engineer. Together, they explored many countries and lived in various places, broadening their horizons and deepening their bond across those 63 years.

While Elizabeth held several jobs throughout her life, her most cherished role was that of a mother. She devoted herself to raising her three sons, Wayne, Dan, and Jim, nurturing them with love and wisdom.

Elizabeth is preceded in death in order by her father, John Eurtis Snow; brother, Don Snow; brother, John Snow; mother Marie (Snow) Redwine; and brother, Jim Snow. She leaves behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories with her family, including her devoted husband, Harold Cooper of Jenks, Oklahoma; her sons, Wayne Cooper and wife Dee of Whitesboro, Texas, Dan Cooper and wife Terry of Glenpool, Oklahoma, and Jim Cooper and wife Tracy of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; along with six (6) grandchildren, seven (7) great grandchildren, many loving relatives, and a host of dear lifelong friends.
