Elizabeth A Leedy

Elizabeth A. Leedy was born April 22, 1931, to parents Robert A. Leedy and Elizabeth A. Leedy.

She spent many years as a buyer for lingerie, traveling often to New York where she enjoyed the opera.

She became involved with purebred dogs and owned and operated a boarding kennel. She moved to Tulsa to join her friend Kay O'Bryant in a show dog kennel which they ran successfully.

She owned the top producing miniature poodle stud dog until his son dethroned him. She owned and bred many champion miniature poodles. She was active on the Poodle Club of America Board and edited their Poodles in America book for years. She also worked with Dr. Ross Clark on his book, Medical and Genetic Aspects of Purebred Dogs.

She was an active AKC judge for many years, traveling all over the world.

She loved fishing and cooking for her friends.

Donations in Elizabeth's honor may be made to the Poodle Club of America Health Foundation or to your favorite charity.

A private service will be held a later date.
