Elda H. Wescott passed away Thursday morning, December 10, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. She was born May 30, 1928 in Callmet, Oklahoma, the daughter of Christian Jess Hansen and Mary Ann (Jensen).
Elda earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma A&M and her Master's Degree from Northeastern State University. She was a devoted elementary school teacher at Eliot Elementary School for many years. Elda also pursued a career in real estate sales.
Two husbands preceded Elda in death. She married Donald Mitchell in 1948 and Earl Wescott in 1932.
Elda loved interior design, gardening, traveling in their RV, and she was known to be a rummikub queen. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife that loved her family dearly.
Elda was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children: Larry Mitchell of Tulsa; Kathy Berryhill and her husband Jim of Sapulpa, and her son Tim Mitchell of Tulsa; eight grandchilren: James Mitchell of Oxford, England, John Mitchell of Tulsa, Katie Partington and her husband Brett of Keller, TX, Ryan Berryhill of Sapulpa, Kea Averill and husband Eric of Rockford MI, Monica Mitchell of Tulsa, Taylor Mitchell of Tulsa, and Miranda Mitchell of Tulsa; and five great grandchildren: Annlea, Abigail, Barrett, Bradie, and Brynna.
