Edward R. Hauser Ii

March 25, 1946 — August 13, 2014

Edward Robert Hauser II was born March 25, 1946 being the fine son of Edward Robert and Dorothy Virginia Runco Hauser.
Ed was first married to Diane Graham on August 29th, 1964. To this union two wonderful children were born, Edward Robert Hauser III and Michelle Lynette Hauser his daughter. Then in 1981, Ed and Diane went their separate ways.
Ed was very fortunate to find a young lady who he fell madly in love with and they were united in marriage December 30th, 1982. They have shared over 31 years of married life together in this journey being able to share such special moments and memories.
Ed had a very interesting life when it came to his educational experience. Ed had experienced one set-back after another. He was able to complete his Junior High schooling and then attended McClain High school and also Central High School but not being able to finish his schooling and received a GED. He was one that would do anything to help someone in need and our family because of his father’s deteriorating health found it necessary to go on the Truck with his own Father so that his other siblings and mother could be provided for.
Ed was a very determined person and you would never tell him that he couldn’t do something because he was always up for the challenge. He attended Hyles Anderson University and at one time was a Baptist preacher and ran a bus ministry. Then Ed furthered his education at Spartan School of Aeronautics where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology and became very proficient in Flight Simulators. Ed started his own business, Aviation Equipment Repair Services. He did that for five years. Then he started working for two different flight simulator companies, Safety Training Systems and Thales. He was so accomplished at this that he had opportunity to travel the country and abroad. After this he worked for Flintco and in the crane manufacturing business until he retired.
Ed was not pleased with sitting at home and had the need of being around people so he became a volunteer and worked forty hours a week at Bailey Hospital which lead to permanent employment. Every endeavor that he was a part of, he took it very seriously and took ownership of the job. His last position was at Home Depot until his unexpected departure, actually doing the thing that he loved the most, riding his motorcycle. What brings us peace is knowing there are lots of new roads for him to travel.
Ed loved fishing, boating and being with friends and family so very much. He never met a stranger so his circle of friends was huge. He shared a common respect and love with his son, being a part of the “Patriot Guard Riders”. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and raced motorcycles and cars professionally in his younger years.

Ed is survived by his wife Martha, two children, Edward Robert Hauser III and his wife Lisa. Sister, Michelle Lynette McKinney and her husband Mike. Ed also enjoyed his seven grandchildren, Brittni, Cameron, Vanessa, Tyler, Brianne, Casey and Jessica, and also six great grandchildren, Katelyn, Brenna, Maddox, Gabriellah, Damian, Tatum, and Bella.
In addition, his brother Bill Hauser and his wife Connie, Mary Sturman and her husband Mike. Along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sylvia Hauser, Sister in law, SueAnn Killerlain, and mother in law, Betty Baker who Ed was very close to. And, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention his special Dog, Beau who also recently departed.
