Edward Henry Herrin, Sr.

November 1, 1950 — July 5, 2023

Edward Henry Herrin, Sr. left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on July 5, 2023.

Ed was born in Rome, NY to John and Harriette Herrin. He lived in central New York throughout his youth before moving to Broken Arrow, OK. He was one of 5 siblings. He also had 6 children, and 5 grandchildren. Ed served his country proudly by enlisting in the Air Force. After putting in his time with the military, he entered a career as a Registered Nurse and utilized his expertise at MetLife until he retired.

Ed played the banjo. He loved music in general. He loved a good cook-out, apple pie, orange marmalade on toast and a good cup of coffee. He loved his dogs Josh, Pugslee, and Hunnie "Pepper". He most of all loved playing Santa Claus for the children at Christmas parties and at the New Hartford Fire Department.

He deeply loved his children: James, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Amanda, Molly and Edward Jr., no matter the distance or situation. One of his greatest joys in life was being a dad. He loved listening to Amanda and Molly play their violins and Edward Jr. play piano. He was proud of all of his children and their accomplishments from Jimmy's computer intelligence, Jackie's intellect in being a technical product manager, Jenn's talent in fashion and art, Mandy's love for teaching children, Molly's skilled hands in phlebotomy and Ed Jr.'s brilliance in physics and CTO title. His siblings Michelle, Mary, Johnny and Robin were all loved by him and he especially loved razzing his brother Johnny.

We will all miss our dad, grandpa, brother and friend. "See ya later alligator, in a while crocodile."
